I am Lenora Holder, President of the American Association of Pharmacy Technicians and we would like to invite your area Pharmacy Technicians to attend our National Convention this year that will be held in Norfolk, Virginia. Please pass this information onto your state technicians if at all possible. We are hoping to have some attendees from the great state of Alabama. We are a national organization promoting the field of pharmacy. The program will include continuing education credits for technicians and some of the country’s most dynamics speakers that will educate and motive us. Please consider passing on this information to fellow pharmacy facilities.
The National Convention and Conference is being held at the Sheraton Waterside Hotel 12-14 August 2010.

ASHP is pleased to announce a video competition to promote the role, education and training, and overall value of pharmacy technicians. Those interested in participating in the Pharmacy Technician Initiative Video Competition can submit a video up to 3 minutes in length, addressing one or more of the suggested topics related to pharmacy technicians. The
winners will be announced in June 2010. The three-minute videos
will be posted on the ASHP Web site and promoted via numerous
communication channels. The winner of each category will
receive a complimentary registration to the ASHP 2010 Midyear
Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in Anaheim, CA.
